CELTIC PRIDE

Even if you’ve never heard of Dennis Johnson, chances are you know that play.

But Johnson was more than Larry Bird’s sidekick. The five-time NBA All-Star won a title in 1979 with the Seattle Supersonics and played for the Boston Celtics during their title runs in 1984 and 1986. Johnson, who coached the NBDL’s Austin Toros this season, passed away earlier today at the age of 52 after collapsing at the end of a practice.
