seems like the blog got off subject somewhere towards the middle but ill just pick up where everyone else left off....

first off (no disrespect) but the South's days are numbered. every region has hadtheir time to shine. in the early to mid 90's it was the West Coast, after that it was the East Coast. the South only has a few years left. true you have folks like lil wayne and TI but that does not overshadow such lyrical genius' (sarcastic) as Franchise Boys, D4L, the Backwoodz, Young Joc etc.

as far as fifty, i can't stand his music now. BUT as a man i respect his hustle and his passion for what he does. he is definitely the downfall to NY by shutting down cats who were trying to bring the region back. basically the whole "beef" in hip hop is getting old. it seems to be how folks try to get into the industry now-a-days. hip hop as we know it is falling apart. number 1 hits include chingy and people like chamillionaire go plat. hooks and beats are beginning to outway true lyricism. noone sits and actually listens to what people are saying. 50 has not said no real shit since "Get Rich...". yet, his name alone guarantees platinum even if he came out sayin his ABC's. sad to say, but for hip hop to really come back it would have to be to stop or control 50. since everyone puts him high on the pedastal it can't be done

Nice points, but please work on your grammar and punctuation. We all know that 50 is the 100,000,000 dollar man. We know that he has the money and the power... but what about the respect? Yes, Curtis Jackson has made some sharp moves as a business man, that can't be denied. He's smart enough to know that he better get that money now, but at what cost?

Do you know what I dislike (notice I didn't say hate)? I dislike the fact of expressing my opinion and it is percieved as a signing of "hating." I am in no way shape or fashion trying to stop 50's shine. He is going to do what he wants to do. I come with the facts... period. The facts aren't a sign of hate, they are a sign of research and reality. NYC made a huge mistake when they put 50 on a pedestal so high that all he has to do is look straight ahead and give a f*ck for the people who put him there. I respect the fact that he feels slighted as well because none of the people who he is currently shutting down didn't reach out to him. He should be lucky that they didn't reach out to him. New York Hip Hop is like a class of children in High School who fight with each other behind closed doors, and still get their ass kicked when they leave the classroom because now they have an entire school to deal with.

Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson could give a flying f*ck about unity in NYC. He knows that he's a powerful figure in this industry, and that the suburbia, who buys his records, don't care about beef. Shit, suburbia doesn't even know that Jadakiss was a part of The LOX, that Ja Rule wrote the hook for Jay-Z's breakthrough mainstream hit "Can I Get a...", or that Fat Joe has anything to do with Big Pun. As long as they remember that 50 got shot 9 times, he's cool with the deterioration of NYC Hip Hop.

Maybe he'll change his tune the day that his G-Unit record and clothing sales drop. Lloyd already put out a flop single in "My House" and had to regroup with his 'Deja Vu' single, Hands Up featuring 50... which is luke warm compared to his debut single, "Fire."

So in the end, for 50 to take important emcees in NYC Hip Hop history off of the list stands for more than just a petty beef. He may have just set NYC Hip Hop back another year and a half. And now that LL is working with 50, I guess he could care less as well. Hey LL, after that duets album you just put out, I can could less for you as well. We should take away your most recent platinum plaques due to the steriod use, which you admitted to. Ask the ladies, they'll tell you that they bought your album because of your sex appeal.
