I think shes been in the modeling game..and reality as well, i mean shes what 21? or something rather..ne wase the point is..in life generally people know when to say or not say things, especially at that age..its not something ONLY artists are aware of..its typical..i think she shouldnt have made the mistake of businessing bout other people period, cause she should jus have more knowledge and respect bein her age. Puffy is known for bringing out wack acts as well as good acts, but when it comes to females I think, he is only paying attention to their looks. O.k. VIBE. The girl is 19 trying to make it. I would take it as a compliment that she felt comfortable enough with you to speak openly about how she felt. Maybe she even felt that as adults you guys had her best interests in heart. Obviously not. 19. She's just starting out. Maybe invite her back on the show. I think this is why artists such as Madonna and other big stars already know what they are going to be asked when interviewed and make some things off limits. I liked the song and then I saw the video. I was like this is a piece of Sh**, so my friend told me about the unofficial video, and i was like this was way better-at least it fit with the lyrics. Finally, I found out she was gonna be on 106 and park from a friend who works with the crew, and he got me in. SO yes I was there and the heffa is terrible. SHE was really trying but she couldnt carry a note and the backup was trying to sing over her. Anyone can sing but the thought is who can sing well. Cassie can sing but she sings horribly. Just showing facts. Well many message boards( like this one), sites, and etc are all some type of media. You guys are supporting her either way. You guys are giving her the time and day. You peeps are ruthless and would put down anyone for their mistakes. I bet many of us would FREAK OUT if in the REAL WORLD people would talk about one of us like that! Poor Cassie. I mean, I feel sorry for her in the sense that she is really getting it from the media right now. Because of her naiveté, she is not responding to the media backlash with much commonsese.
Without trying to contradict myself, however, I do believe that she deserves some of the criticisms concerning her inability to sing and perform, because as harsh as it may be, IT'S TRUE!
What confuses me about all this is that everyone is so quick to send this girl down the river because of a couple of lousy performances [yes I know, I saw them too, but still]. To Cassie's defence, I don't think that much fault can be placed on her. We have been putting up with sh*tty singers forever. Remember the late '90's? We put up with Britney, the spice girls, j-lo, masses of clichéd boy-bands. More recently we've had to make do with Ashanti, Ciara, Hillary Duff, Ashlee Simpson, Paris Hilton, Pussycat Dolls, dear God I could go on forever, but you get the point. Cassie is yet another record company concoction of beauty and sex appeal. Sad to say, but my generation is accustomed to this type 'talent'[I use that term soooo loosely, it's not even funny]. So why the backlash where Cassie is concerned? **Sigh**
What I hope will come out of all this is that we, as consumers, will stop buying into all this rubbish and the record comapnies will wise up and learn that we need more that just a pretty face to satisfy us, BUT IT STARTS WITH US !!!
So, take that Paris Hilton poster OFF of your wall. You are better than this !! DON'T GIVE IN and DON'T GIVE UP. Everything will be ok.

I find it immensely insulting, that "puff the magic dragon daddy" would sign Cassie, as one of his premiere artist for bad boy. And for his sake and all of music history's sake, and mankind; HE HAD BETTER THINK FAST AND DROP HER FROM THE LABEL. Cassie needs to realize the media is what got her here. Media can be considered television, radio, magazine, etc. Let's be honest the girl got her start on Myspace. Truthfully, the girl can't sing nor dance and from what I hear it's not just one performance she messed up on, it's been multiple. While the rest of them she walks back and forth and lip-sync.

You have people out there who pour their heart and soul into singing and some girl who barely has talent sits on the stage of 106 and says it's just something fun to do. Obviously she's not taking it to serious. So why take her serious? I guess all you need now to get into this industry is a nice face and a good producer who can tweak your voice so that you can sound good or let's just say make a hot beat in this case.

I think her fame came a little to quick. She needed some training on how to do interviews. You don't put other people's business out like that to make yourself look better. If you ask me she's smelling herself a little too much. She surely felt bad about her unreleased video that came out but had no problem telling everyone's biz on Hot 97. If you're not ready for the pressure then the entertainment industry isn't for you. Making a blog on Myspace isn't cutting it either. Maybe she should have stayed a Myspace Artist in the first place so her fans could add her in their top 8 because with the attitude she's giving, it's the only media attention she's gonna get. What goes around comes around. It's a little thing called Karma.

I try to give every artist a benefit of the doubt. However Cassie spoiled her chances. NextSelection Label fits her well cause she's on the list of the Next One Hit Wonders.

Ok, let me be the first to say that I have come across much better talent. I saw Cassie when she first hit myspace, and she was cute.... who knew that she would suck at performing. At least she is girl enough to admit she sucks on stage. I went to an awards ceremony last night, and the only hot thing there female vocally and image wise was Shermain, who I hear is the next Diva coming out of the Caribbean.....is there another Rihanna or better..I think so.. www.myspace.com/shermaindiva.
