Foxy Brown Down And Out In Jail

Foxy Brown doesn't sound like she is holding up well in the slammer at all. The Rikers Island inmate is reportedly breaking down behind bars. Inga's former inmates have been spilling the tea about the rapper's time in jail and what they've seen.

Foxy has allegedly been spending her days alone in her cell, "flipping through the Bible, and guzzling orange soda," which is so healthy for her unborn baby, you know. Although she is separated from gen pop, Ms. Marchand has been friendly to her fellow inmates when they pass by her cell while she's heating up her ramen noodles on a hot plate.

The worst news of all, though, is that Foxy's weave is on its last legs. An inmate was quoted as saying, "Her hair looks like whoever did it ran. That's how much the weave is coming apart." And this differs from how her weave normally looks, in what way? Just curious.

Eve Doesn't Like Her New Ankle Jewelry

Eve has been rocking the hell out of her new ankle jewelry. Too bad for her it's not made of any ice but it's a bulky black SCRAM ankle bracelet that she has to wear because of that pesky DUI she caught in April.

According to the pitbull in an alcohol monitoring bracelet, the heavy contraption is "annoying" and having it on is like wearing a pair of "Bose headphones" around her ankle. Well, what did she expect it to feel like? Some iPod earbuds?

Good thing for Eve that she only has to wear the ugly anklet until September 8th when she can take it off for good. Until then, she'll be stepping out in long pants.

Bobby And Whitney In Court Fight Over Bobbi Kris

We shoulda known that the Bobby and Whitney divorce story still had some life left in it. Fresh off of eating some skrimps at Joe's Crab Shack, Bobby Brown and ex-wifey Whitney Houston are back in the news and in court. Now the fight is over custody of their daughter Bobbi Kristina.

Leave it to TMZ to put Bob and Whit's court documents, which detail this latest round in their dramedy, on Front Street. Last month Brown filed papers in court that claim that since Whitney has been awarded sole legal and physical custody of Bobbi Kris that she has attempted to eliminate him from their child's life. (Bobby clearly didn't get the memo--or MySpace bulletin--that his namesake was stuntin' like Whitney.)

Brown also claims that he came out of pocket for 10K to pay for Whitney and Bobbi's hotel stay during Whit's stint in rehab while he lived out of his car. What, was Superhead's couch not available?

Whitney also filed papers in the proceedings alleging that Bobby has been almost totally uninvolved in taking care of Bobbi Kris, and she happens to think that B.Brown is just trying to get his hands on her riches.

These two crazy kids will meet up again in court on August 31 with regard to this latest hot mess.

Rihanna Dating Shia LaBeouf?

What is this that we hear about Rihanna dating actor Shia LaBeouf? Rih-Rih has made it pretty clear that she has been feeling the Caucasian fellas lately, but Shiapet ain't exactly Paul Walker.

Ms. Fenty and Mr. LaBeouf have been spotted out and about in Hollyweird a few times recently and now rumors are flying that they are a couple. Rihanna has previously been linked to Jay-Z and Omarion, but this is her first time being down with the swirl if these rumors of a romance with the Transformers star are true.

Amerie CD Delayed Once Again

It looks like Amerie is getting the Mya treatment. (Or has Mya gotten the Amerie treatment?) Because word is that the Blackorean singer's CD has been pushed back further than Brandy's hairline. Amerie's disc Because I Love It has been in limbo ever since late 2006 when the first two singles failed to ignite any fire amongst the listening public.

It was expected that the CD would be in stores by summer 2007, but to date it hasn't been released in the United States despite being a moderate hit in Europe, where it was released earlier this year. Now the summer is almost over and the CD has mysteriously disappeared from the Columbia Records roster.

Maybe Amerie should take a page out of Mya's playbook and launch a contest. We're thinking she could title it "Find Me A Hit Song."

No Cancer Diagnosis For Toni Braxton

Despite a story in that bastion of journalism otherwise known as the National Enquirer that said that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer according to a "family insider," Toni Braxton has come forward to deny that she is ill.

The "Love Shoulda Brought You Home" singer released this statement to Access Hollywood:

“There has been a rumor circulating that I have been diagnosed with breast cancer. After feeling something uncomfortable in my left breast, I went in for a screening. I was very fortunate that they did not find anything and I am in great health. However, I encourage women to take their annual tests and suggested precautions to prevent this disease that continues to affect so many women.”

Whoever the "family insider" is who dropped an uniformed dime on Toni's alleged breast cancer needs to be disowned from the Braxton clan.

Common Drives Em Wild In New Video

Common's new video for "Drivin' Me Wild", the third single from Finding Forever,has hit the net and the clip is interesting to say the least. Brit singer Lily Allen joins Common alongside actress Lauren London and Ari Gold Jeremy Piven.

The video does follow the song's lyrics, but we didn't quite picture this when we first heard the cut. What do y'all think? Is this video a hit or miss from Chi-town's finest?

Missy Elliott Got Snacks

Missy Elliott can be heard on Keyshia Cole's hot single "Let It Go" and soon she'll be seen on your televisions slangin' Doritos. That's right, Missy has been chosen to be the pitchwoman for Doritos Collisions, a new snack that combines two flavors of Doritos in one bag. So you mean to tell us that we'll be able to get our Cool Ranch and Nacho on at the same time? Where do we sign up?

Missy will debut in a commercial for Collisions on September 17th that will feature the rapper/producer in the lab getting her snack on then being inspired by the two different-flavored chips to create a hip-hop/country song mash up. Hopefully the commercial won't be as corny as it sounds. We'll see.

Let's just hope that after slimming down a few years ago that Missy doesn't go overboard with these new Doritos and pack the pounds back on.

New Mya CD Delayed, Launches Contest To Find A Date

When it comes to the release of her new CD Liberation, Mya can't catch a break or a release date. After numerous delays that pushed the drop date to September 18th, now word is that the disc doesn't even have a firm release scheduled now. Promo materials from her publicist's office say that the album will be "IN STORES SOON." Yeah, OK. We'll believe that when we see it.

Despite the extended wait for some new music from Mya, she's trying to get a little momentum going for the new project and has launched a contest. The "Ridin' With Mya Contest" is a desperate move currently underway on her website and the prize is a date with the sexy singer.

The contest has already launched and dudes are steady uploading their video personals to YouTube to catch Mya's attention. Check out some of the clowns "competition":

How do we say this nicely? BORING! This cover seems is so blah when you think of Keyshia and her around-the-way sass. Despite a stellar Photoshop job and some slammingly (is that a word?) arched eyebrows, we have to give this one two thumbs down for the yawn factor alone.

What is this we hear about R. Kelly planning to go out on tour after his child-pornography trial? According to MTV.com, Keyshia Cole let the molester out of the bag when she revealed that they were going on a concert tour starting in October.

Call us crazy, but doesn't homie's trial get underway in late September? And with there being a 50/50 chance of him being found guilty and all, how is R. gonna up and plan a concert tour before hearing his fate? Sounds like the Peed Piper is hella confident that he'll beat the child porn rap that he's been slapped with.

So if R. does end up going on tour who's going to go see him? We heard that he'll have a buy-one-get-one free special for girl scouts. (OK, OK, maybe we didn't hear that but would you put it past him?)

Remy Ma Debuts Two New Videos

When she wasn't busy shooting chicks up, Remy Ma found time to make not one but two videos for her Shesus Kryst mixtape/DVD currently available from a bootleg man near you. The no budget clips are online for the tracks "Jump" and "Shesus Kryst." Check em out here:

We don't know about anyone else, but we happen to think that Ms. Ma is going to Hell on a rusty rocket for both of these videos. The reasons in "Shesus Kryst" are quite obvious, but in "Jump" maybe you didn't notice all those children in the video when Remy was rapping about jump-offs and cursing like no tomorrow. Well, we noticed and were rather dismayed. We just wonder if these videos are going to make it onto BET's "We Got To To Better," because Remy is truly a hot ghetto mess.

Beyoncé Has A Wardrobe Malfunction

So Beyoncé's dress flew up during a recent concert stop in Toronto and the internet is goin' nuts. Excuse us while we yawn, but there's nothing to see here folks. Despite TMZ's assertion that Bey flashed her twins to the audience, her goodies were in fact covered by a flesh-toned bodysuit.

Foxy Brown In The Slammer, Knocked Up, And Engaged

Foxy Brown may have recently signed a label deal with Koch, but maybe Akon's Konvict label woulda been a better fit. Because as of this morning Fox Boogie is now locked up after violating her probation.

Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Melissa Jackson had it up to here with the rap diva and ordered Fox Boogie to go straight to jail after her latest skirmishes with the law. As we reported last week, Inga put the smack down on her neighbor and turned herself into the po-po on August 14th. Come to find out that the very next day she was stopped for a minor traffic violation but gave false information to the police leading her to receive seven tickets.

Needless to say, the judge had something for that ass when Foxy got to court today. The Ill Na Na was ordered to go straight to the Rose M. Singer Center, a women's jail on Rikers Island, where she will be held until her next hearing on September 7.

On top of all of this madness, it has been confirmed that Foxy is three months pregnant and she is allegedly engaged. There is no word on who her fiancee is but the pair were supposed to get hitched in September. Something tells us that Ms. Marchand may not be making her wedding date being in prison and all.

Too bad Foxy's lawyers couldn't work some of that Lindsay Lohan magic.

Diddy To Do A Raisin In The Sun On TV

No stranger to the small screen, Diddy plans to do it, do it, do it, do it once again with his latest project. However, this time he won't be seen in a music video or on HBO's Bad Boys of Comedy. Instead, Mr. Combs will star in the network premiere of the TV movie adaptation of the play A Raisin In the Sun.

Diddy previously starred on Broadway in the revival of the Lorraine Hansberry play alongside castmates Phylicia Rashad, Audra McDonald and Sanaa Lathan. In addition to acting in the flick, Combs will serve as one of the executive producers. Diddy and the stellar cast will grace your televisions on February 25, 2008 at 8 pm EST on ABC.

We wonder if Kim Porter will be watching with the kids?

Is Bow Wow Dating Angela Simmons?

Has Bow Wow finally gotten Ciara out of his system? Word on the street is that he has moved on from the singer and on to Angela Simmons, daughter of hip hop royalty Reverend Run Simmons.

Late last year, Angela and Bow Weezy starred together in the video for "Shortie Like Mine," the first single from his last release The Price of Fame, but it hasn't been until recently that the two have been spotted by the razzi out and about. Just this past weekend they were together at the launch party for Angie's Rundown mag launch looking like quite the cozy couple. If these two are together, then that's a pretty good look--especially with them being the same height and all.

Foxy Brown Says She's The Victim In Blackberry Beating

Foxy Brown isn't exactly claiming innocence in the July altercation she had with her neighbor, but she is accusing Arleen Raymond of coming after her for her riches. During Fox Boogie's Tuesday arraignment, her lawyer John Sampson claimed that the neighbor was the aggressor and that she is "looking for a payday."

Given Inga's track record, how do we say this nicely? WE DON'T BELIEVE YOU, FOXY. YOU NEED MORE PEOPLE.

Foxy may want to rethink the whole victim thing. If she is found guilty of the Blackberry beating, then she could find herself in jail for a year and without her signature Wet 'N Wild fuchsia lipstick. Oh, the horror!

Amy Winehouse Bails On Rehab, Goes To Head Doctor

After recently overdosing on a cocktail of hard liquor, smack, coke and other assorted street pharmaceuticals, Amy Winehouse's family tried to make her go to rehab and, whereas she didn't say "no, no, no," she only went for a whopping total of two days with her enabler husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

Word is that Britain's beehived answer to Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears checked out of the Causeway treatment facility in Essex and flew to London. Amy is apparently not gearing up for her next bender, however. Instead, she is scheduled to see a neurologist to determine if she has a form of epilepsy. Winehouse will undergo a brain scan, which will hopefully reveal the cause of a seizure she had during her overdose. We're just trying to figure out how they are going to get an accurate scan of her brain with all that hair around it.

Amy's woes don't end there, unfortunately. Her father, Mitch, is seeking a restraining order against her husband because he believes that Blake will stop his baby girl from getting any more treatment. This sounds like a job for A&E's Intervention.

Lil' Mo Catches Deja Vu

Last weekend Lil' Mo performed in Washington, D.C. at the Stone Soul Picnic, and she channeled her inner Beyoncé like we've never seen before. The "Godmother of Hip Hop and R&B" was acting more like the drunk auntie catching the holy ghost when she started rolling around and convulsing on the ground while singing of "Deja Vu." You truly have to see this to believe it:

Mo sure loves to do covers at her live shows. Check her out singing "Umbrella" here. As quiet is kept, she could teach Rihanna a thing or two about how to really sing that song.

To hear Lil' Mo sing some original material, be sure to pick up her new CD Pain & Paper when it hits stores on August 28th. The first single, "Sumtimes I," is misspelled featuring Jim Jones is currently impacting at radio but not a hit on the level of "Superwoman." Let's hope that Mo has some bangers on deck otherwise she may have to go back to singing hooks for Ja Rule.

Jay-Z Tops Forbes Hip-Hop Cash Kings List

In what shouldn't really come as news to anyone, Jay-Z holds down the number one spot on Forbes magazine's first-ever list of hip-hop Cash Kings. The rapper/label head/entrepreneur/envy-of-many-men-because-he's-smashing-Beyoncé clocked in with approximately 34 million in 2006 earnings. When he said that he's "a business, man" he wasn't lying.

Coming in a close second to the Jiggaman is 50 Cent with 32 mil in 2006 earnings, which doesn't count the chips he made from the extremely lucrative Vitamin Water deal. Rounding out the top three is Diddy with a measly 28 million in earnings last year. But that should make Kim Porter real happy, at least, and enable him to hook his mother Janice Combs up with some fresh lacefronts.

The entire top twenty list will be featured this Saturday on an E! television special.

When we saw the above photo of D'Angelo at a recent court appearance on Bossip we had to pour a little liquor out.

Oh how the mighty have fallen--into a plate of fried chicken and biscuits with extra gravy. The one-time sexy-fine singer needs to raise up off the green because he has clearly had a few too many bouts with the munchies and lost.

Foxy Brown Charged In Blackberry Beatdown

Just when things were starting to look up for Foxy Brown with news of her label deal with Koch Records surfacing, now word comes that the rapper went oops upside her neighbor's head with a Blackberry in July. Foxy turned herself in to the police on Tuesday and was promptly charged with "felony assault, menacing, harassment and criminal possession of a weapon."

No one knows what caused Fox Boogie to unleash her inner Naomi Campbell and slap the crap out of her 25-year-old neighbor during an argument the pair had on July 30th. But by the time Foxy was done, the woman needed "treatment for loose teeth, a swollen lip and swelling of her right eye." She may not be much of a rapper these days, but Foxy's pimp hand sure is strong.

This latest incident does not bode well for Inga, who is currently on probation and has another case pending from the beauty shop altercation she had last year in Florida. With this latest arrest, the court immediately ordered drug tests and more anger management classes for Brown - clearly because the other ones worked so well.

David Banner Versus Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Oprah

With his new CD The Greatest Story Ever Told dropping in October, David Banner is busy flapping his gums to drum up some press. A couple weeks ago, he chatted it up with MTV and talked greasy about civil rights leaders Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. He criticized the two men for being out of touch with the hood, and had some choice words for Big Al, saying that he looked like a pimp with his perm.

Not one to back down, Al Sharpton's camp came back and sonned David Banner in a statement. They called him by his gubment name, Levell Crump, and said that he "has not had a banner year since his debut album in 2003." We don't know about anyone else, but that cracked us the hell up.

Now in round three, Levell has picked his cracked face up and decided to release a diss record taking aim at Sharpton, Jackson, and even commanding Oprah Winfrey to shake her ass. Lord have mercy on his soul and his recording career.

Jagged Edge Returns With a Little Umph

Jagged Edge is back and they are on a new label. The Southern-fried quartet has returned with a new CD, entitled Baby Makin' Project, slated to hit the block on September 25th. The disc will be their first project on their new label home at Island Urban Music.

The fellas followed their home skillet Jermaine Dupri over to the label, which is now under his watchful eye. JD can also be seen in the video for the first single "Put A Little Umph In It" that premiered today on the Island Urban website.

We're just trying to figure out what happened to Ashanti. A few weeks ago the single featuring her hit the net, but she is conspicuously absent from the music video. Maybe she didn't have the "umph" they needed?

Kelly Rowland To Re-Release CD?

A few sources are reporting that Kelly Rowland is planning to resurrect her last CD Ms. Kelly and re-release it in the hopes that it will sell some more copies. Speculation that the disc would be repackaged began at a recent concert in Atlanta when Kelly stated that she was working on some new tracks.

Although this hasn't been confirmed, re-releasing Ms. Kelly may be a good look for Rowland. If that's what it takes to sell this album and keep her off the pole, then we're all for it. We're just trying to wrap our minds around why a second single has yet to be released and the CD dropped over a month ago.

Choose Chrisette Michele's Next Single

Though her debut CD hasn't even cracked the 100K sales mark yet, Chrisette Michele is still pushing along with her album I Am. Now the songstress is getting ready to release a third single from her CD and she's enlisting her fans for help.

She recently posted a MySpace blog asking fans to pick her next single. Her first two singles were modest hits at urban contemporary radio, but her next single needs to pop before it ends up being her last. She may love Def Jam, but we all know how they roll.

Although we love the slow jam with a message "Golden" to pieces, if it were up to us, we'd have to choose something uptempo for Chrisette's next single. Maybe "Good Girl," "Be O.K." or "Let's Rock" will give Ms. Michele's CD the push that it needs. And a remix with Common and a hot video wouldn't hurt either.

Mel B. Secretly Married, Wants More Kids

Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown is full of surprises. Earlier this week she pulled a Nancy Grace and a Janet Jackson and revealed that she secretly got married a couple months ago. This Stephen Belafonte cat who she alleged was her boyfriend became her second husband in a down low Vegas wedding in June.

But Eddie Murphy is the shady one? OK.

Apparently Mel and film producer Stephen have known each other for seven years and they just decided to make their love thang official in a quickie ceremony. But word is that Scary's husband has a checkered past. He's been accused of beating his baby mama. He also supposedly changed his name to Belafonte so that people could think he was the legendary entertainer Harry Belafonte's son.

Then last night Mel made her way onto Larry King Live on CNN to regurge everything she's been saying about Eddie and the paternity battle for the past few months. When Larry King asked if she wants more children she answered, "Yeah, I'd like to, of course." After she cashes Eddie's monthly checks, she'll definitely be able to afford more mouths to feed.

This is better than Guiding Light, One Life to Live and The Bold and the Beautiful rolled into one!

One of our favorite couples, Tamia and Grant Hill, got a visit from the stork on Thursday when their daughter Lael Rose Hill was born. Lael joins big sister Myla Grace.

This isn't the only change in the Hill household. After holding it down in Orlando while he played (or didn't play thanks to numerous injuries) for the Magic, Grant has been traded to the Phoenix Suns and the family will be moving in late August to Arizona. We truly wish the Hill fam all the best.

Emporio Armani Diamonds Are Beyoncé's Best Friend

Say what you want about Beyoncé, but she stays on her grind. The commercial for the new perfume Emporio Armani Diamonds features the superstar, and she can be seen shaking her shimmy and sporting her best lacefront wig while singing "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend."

Diddy Is Making Fans Help Him Pick The Band

Leave it to Diddy to pull a fast one on Making the Band 4 viewers during this season's finale. Just when you thought he was getting ready to chose the band at the end of Monday night's show, he got up outta his chair and rolled out, leaving everyone hanging.

We figured that this was a set up for a second season of tryouts for the show and patiently waited for the casting call to be announced before the credits. But much to our surprise Diddy popped up onto our television screens and said that he needed help in choosing the band and wanted fans to go to MTV.com to vote for their favorites. The real finale and not the fake-us-out one that aired Monday, will be shown live on Sunday, August 26th at 9 pm ET/PT.

We spotted this MTB4 spoof over on A Hot Mess, and we've been chuckling all day. Beware because there is some strong language in the video.

Kim Porter Speaks On Breakup, While Diddy Kicks It With Sienna Miller

A few weeks ago we gave Kim Porter props for being a shrewd business woman and sleeping her way into Diddy's riches with all the post-breakup child support he'll surely have to pay her. But we're about to snatch some of those props back after reading a few excerpts from a tell-all interview she did with OK! magazine that hits newsstands today.

Kim chats it up with OK! about everything including Diddy's alleged cheating, the J.Lo fling, and Diddy's British gal pal Sienna Miller, who Porter insists is "just friends" with her ex.

Yeah OK, Kim, denial is more than a river. You can keep believing that Diddy and Miller are "just friends" if you like, but to hear someone from Sienna's camp tell it, the two of them are kicking it harder than karate. According to an insider, Miller thinks that Diddy is hot and she has had a crush on him for some time. She is allegedly pleased as punch that he's no longer with Porter.

The friends (with benefits) Diddy and Sienna are currently vacationing in Ibiza, while Kim is somewhere rubbing cocoa butter on her stretch marks.

Mariah Carey's Perfume Ad Debuts

Photoshop meet Mariah Carey. Mariah Carey meet Photoshop.

On Tuesday the print ads for Mariah's new perfume "M by Mariah Carey" hit the net, and they are currently running in the September issue of Glamour magazine. Mariah can be seen ass-out, halfway submerged in water in front of puffy clouds. The ad looks interesting, to say the least.

According to her website, the fragrance smells like amber incense, Tiare flower, and marshmallow. What in the world? Marshmallow? Is Mariah making a perfume or smores? We got the graham crackers!

Should you care to smell this concoction, her website is offering free samples while supplies last.

Happy First Anniversary To Us!

On this fine August day one year ago, VIBE Confidential went live as the inaugural blog on VIBE.com - and what a wild, celebrity drama-filled ride it's been since then. Today, we celebrate one year in the blog game and our 500th post. Yay us!

Thanks to the shenanigans and hijinks of a few VC regulars -- think Bobby and Whitney, Diddy and Kim, Usher and Tameka, and the ubiquitous Jayoncé -- we've had a hell of a lot to write about in the past year. And with stars such as Ray J, Eddie Murphy, 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, Amy Winehouse and Superhead continuing to act up and out, we will be ridin' this thing til the wheels fall off.

As we enter into the terrible twos, we will continue to keep bringing you "the lowdown on the down low" everyday. Just make sure to keep coming back and tell a friend or three.

Usher Ties The Knot, Bottles His Scent

After all that drama surrounding the lavish, over-the-top wedding that got canceled at the last minute, Usher Raymond and Tameka Foster decided to marry quietly on Friday in a civil ceremony in his lawyer's office. And the world could give less than a damn.

Word is that, despite earlier rumors to the contrary, his mother Jonetta Patton was not present to witness her son ruin his life after all she did to make him into a successful young man the nuptials. Tsk ,tsk, tsk. Sounds to us like Usher is out of the running for the '07 Son of the Year Awards.

Hoping to ride this wave of publicity (hey, bad press is still press) scans of the ads for Usher's new scent miraculously turned up online over the weekend. The eponymous scent line will debut fragrances for men and women in major department stores later this year. And come early next year they will be available at your local Big Lots.

Brandy Still Awaits Her Fate In Car Crash Case

She may be busy modeling the latest weaves and riding in the backseat with Ray J and Lil Kim, but Brandy may soon have to face the music of her December 2006 car crash that ended in the death of a 38-year-old wife and mother.

The Los Angeles City Attorney is in the process of deciding whether to prosecute the singer/actress for the fatal accident. Apparently the prosecutors are split on whether she should be charged with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter or nothing at all.

According to sources, the prosecutors are awaiting technical data from a London-based firm measuring the speed of Brandy's vehicle upon impact to see if she hit her brakes prior to impact. The data will help the City Attorney to determine what course of action to take.

Chris Rock: You Are Not The Father!

Eddie Murphy is probably hating on Chris Rock right about now. Because unlike Eddie, a paternity test showed that Rock is not the father of a child born to an ex-girlfriend.

If you remember correctly, Chris' old cut buddy Kali Bowyer took her story to the tabloids saying that he had left her with a baby after the two dated. Now that her son is a teenager and getting ready to go to college in a few years, it was high time for Ms. Bowyer to pressure Rock for a paternity test so that she could stick him for his paper.

Well, so much for that. Rock took the test and the results finally came back negative. He, along with his lovely wife Malaak Compton Rock, sent a scathing letter to TMZ.com to set the record straight and air out Ms. Bowyer and her fraudulent claims.

VH1 Looking For The Next Great Female MC

VH1 may be home to the trainwreck that is Flavor of Love, but they also keep some decent hip hop flavored programming in heavy rotation. The channel that brought us Hip Hop Honors and the White Rapper Show is now casting for its next series and looking to crown a female MC in the reality competition.

The as-yet-untitled show is searching for femcees from around the country who are nice on the mic. According to the casting notice, the "winner will earn substantial dollars, national exposure and, of course, respect in the hip-hop game." Well, that last prize remains to be seen if it will come to fruition, but applicants should send their name, age, e-mail address and website to rapper@vh1staff.com to see if they got what it takes.

Can't wait until the show bows to hear some females spit that hot fiyah? Then make your way to the Can A Sista Rock A Mic? music festival this week in Washington, DC from August 8-12. The grand opening features a LadyBeatmaker competition and femcees including Georgia Anne Muldrow and Bahamadia rippin' the mic, and the grand finale features MC Lyte proving why she's one of the G.O.A.T.

Beyoncé's Spanish-Language Album, Destiny's Child Reunion?

The Beyoncé train keeps chugging along. The hardest falling working member of Destiny's Child is set to release yet another CD and DVD this year. This time around Bey will release an EP/DVD entitled Irremplazable that finds the sultry singer getting her Spanish on.

The eight-song disc will include the previously released Spanish versions of "Irreplaceable" and "Listen" and feature duets with Latin singers Shakira, Alejandro Fernandez, and Volito. Fans can hear Bey butcher the language when the disc drops on August 28th exclusively at Wal-Mart.

In other Beyoncé news, word is that Destiny's Child will be reuniting sooner than later. In addition, Bey's pesky little sister Solange is rumored to be joining the group. We've already seen Solo join Bey, Michelle Williams, and Kelly Rowland in the video for "Get Me Bodied" and live on stage at this year's BET Awards, so this doesn't really come as a shock.

Mel B. And Her Lawyer Want Eddie To Do The Right Thing And Pay Up

After the news of Eddie Murphy's engagement to Tracey Edmonds hit the streets this week, Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown couldn't wait to drop the bomb on him like she was The Gap Band. Yesterday, Mel and her attorney Gloria Allred held a press conference to put Eddie on Front Street.

According to the legal pit bull in a skirt, Eddie "has not paid one penny of child support" for his daughter Angel Iris Murphy Brown despite buying "a big diamond ring for his new fianceé." Although DNA tests have proven that Donkey is the daddy, Allred filed a paternity suit against Norbit to legally establish that he is the father of the bouncing 4-month-old baby and get him to pay up. Allred further urged Murphy that "It’s time to stop steppin to the bad side and start remembering family." Sounds like someone has that Dreamgirls soundtrack memorized.

Excuse us while we go put some more popcorn in the micro cause this show is just beginning.
