Oh I find all this unbelievably sad. I am a New Zealander, been living here all my life. My mum is a beautiful white londe woman of Scottish decent and my dad is the most handsome Maori man around dark skin black hair, for those who don't know Maori are the natives of NZ who are dark skinned, most about Rihanna's colour. I've had the privilage of experiencing both sides of the family and I am very close with both and no one cares about my decent although I am white in the Maori community. Everyone needs to starts working together. We still have trouble and race problems here. New Zealand has one of the most interacial populations in any country in he world and we don't care it's all apart of making us what we are, makes us stronger. I have dated men of all colour and found it no problem. I don't see why you must always focus on the colour of skin. I also think that if African Americans still hold a grudge on your fellow White Americans then you are under educated and need to realise that you are to advanced to think that colour still matters to the rest of your country or your world. Stop acting individually and starting acting as a country as 1. And also see Hairspray and take a tip fom Tracy Turnblad on her views with "mixing". I have always been taught to not let race affect me so when i found out that Rihanna, one of my favourite singers at the moment and Shia, definitly my favourite actor ever since i was 13 (seriously think he is the bees knees) were dating not once did race enter my mind until media polluted my and it seems everyone elses thoughts. John Paul Walker is pretty but dumb as dirt. I saw him in an interview and he's as dumb blonde as y ou get. Shia, on the other hand, is really smart and funny. He grew up in Echo Park and mostly Latino and black kids. And both Riri and him have similarities in their childhoods(parental drug abuse, helping their families at an early age) that make perfect sense why they are dating. I can't speak for others but my point was, you don't see people magazine or any other magazines bringing up race when they mention an interracial couple. Why does it even have to be the focus of an article? Why not just talk about the people hooking up period? It's just silly to me. I don't agree with this relationship at all. the fact the this is an interracial relationship is the sole fact for support and encouragement.
